Jennie's agency, OA Entertainment, said Tuesday it would take firm legal action against malicious online posts targeting the singer, amid the rapid spread of unverified footage from her Summer Sonic 2026 performance in Chiba, Japan, on Friday.
In a statement, OA said it had identified "ongoing misconduct targeting Jennie across online communities and social media platforms." It specifically referred to baseless defamatory statements and false information, as well as manipulated photos and videos and content that infringed on the artist's privacy and personal rights.
The agency said it was monitoring online communities and social media with legal counsel, collecting evidence and pursuing both civil and criminal complaints against serious violations.
It warned against maliciously editing or reprocessing Jennie's physical features, repeatedly posting or redistributing certain photos or video clips, and attaching insulting remarks or false information to such content.
The statement comes after the circulation of videos that appear to show part of Jennie's body exposed during her Summer Sonic performance.
The authenticity of the footage has not been confirmed, with local reports speculating some posts had been edited or manipulated. OA did not explicitly say the footage was fabricated.
The agency warned there would be "no settlement or leniency" for violations and asked fans to report suspected cases.
