G-Dragon’s agency Galaxy Corporation pledged a 500 million won ($353,800) donation to the artist’s Juspeace Foundation to mark his birthday on Aug. 18, the company said Friday.
On the day, “Juspeace Day 50,” an initiative to support 50 young artists will be launched with an event in Seoul. The project is part of the his aspiration to create more opportunities for young artists.
The foundation has been discovering artists through a series of projects and fairs, and the upcoming event will include a charity auction. Proceeds from the auction will help fund backing more budding artists.
Separately, his group Big Bang will drop digital single “BiiiG” on Aug. 19, marking its 20th year and a return after four years.
