Winter of Aespa will sit out the group’s Dallas show next week on Tuesday, SM Entertainment announced Wednesday.
She has been feeling under the weather since before the Miami concert held Saturday but willed herself to take to the stage nonetheless to be together with the group, her agency said. When she went to see a doctor for an in-depth test, she was found to have shingles, or herpes zoster, which is caused by the same virus as chickenpox.
The idol made the choice to prioritize her health, the label added, apologizing to fans on her behalf.
The quartet is in the middle of its “Synk: Complexity” tour, which continues to February. There are five remaining stops for the North American leg, which runs until Oct. 11. The tour resumes in January in Europe.
