Oncolytic virus nabs FDA approval

Replimune’s vusolimogene oderparepvec (Tudriqev) has secured FDA accelerated approval for use in combination with the PD-1 blocker nivolumab (Opdivo) for adults with unresectable advanced cutaneous melanoma who have experienced disease progression on a prior PD-1 blocking regimen. Vusolimogene oderparepvec is the second oncolytic virus to the US market, and received two prior rejections from the FDA.
