In the version of this article initially published, due to figure preparation mistakes, the plots in Fig. 4b and Supplementary Fig. 49a–c,f were assembled from incorrect source files. In Extended Data Fig. 4b, the x-axis unit label now reading “s” was originally written “h”, while an additional, but unmentioned control sample (blue data points) has been removed for clarity. In the last paragraph of the Methods “Well-tempered metadynamics” section, the text now reading “An orthorhombic cell of 46.5 × 30 × 60 Å…” replaces the original “A cubic cell of 5 × 46 × 26 Å”. For comparison, the original figures are available as Supplementary Information accompanying this amendment. The figures and text are now updated in the HTML and PDF versions of the article.
