Onew of Shinee announced Monday that he is set to put out his fourth physical single in Japan, “Kakera - Unmei no Piece,” via agency Griffin Entertainment.
Due on Sept. 16, the single will mark his first new material in the country in about a year, after his second EP, “Saku.” The five-track set topped the iTunes Top Albums Chart in five regions, including Japan. It ranked No. 3 on Oricon’s Daily Album Ranking and No. 1 on its Weekly Digital Album Ranking.
The veteran idol will unveil the main track from the upcoming single a week before the physical release. After the single release, he will have two “Onew The Live: Q” shows in Tokyo.
Separately, a pajama-party-themed pop-up store featuring his official character will run in Seoul from Saturday.
